Congratulations to the Gratton Trust for winning The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service awarded by The Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire on The Gratton on 11th September 2018

The Gratton Trust was set up as a charity in 1997 to manage the valuable shared green space known as The Gratton in the heart of Sutton Scotney. The use of this wonderful area was generously given in trust to our community by Lord Arthur Rank and it is maintained entirely by charitable donation.

The Gratton Trust is responsible for all day to day maintenance, from cutting the grass to repairing the pavilion and providing playground equipment.  Just to cover annual running costs we need to raise £15,000 each and every year!

We want to make The Gratton the heart of parish life through a programme of fun activities for all the family such as our annual Gratton Festival.  Our hard work has been recognised by winning the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service on 2nd June 2018!

Our facilities currently feature tennis courts, football pitches, an outdoor gym, pavilion, riverside walk, picnic tables and a play area complete with zip wire!
